Hello,
I would like a to know of peoples stretch related resolutions... here I will start..
In 2008 I would like to be able to do a free form back bend (I can do it but I want to be able to go down and come up on command, no problem... now I can come up, and I want it to be tighter), as well as splits and a chest stand.

for those of you who would like to share your resolution dreams, as well as an area for support feel free to post your thoughts here. I will check back daily, just to see who is actually determined to get better (I mean like willing to do anything) and to gather some tips....

To put some science behind my daily stretches. Up to now, most is just to keep me limber and fight off muscle atrophy (former competitive cyclist). I want to use stretch and Yoga techniches for body sculpting - more than just reducing love handles.

I would like to do a triple fold
and front(both legs) and side splits

I want to keep limber, lose about 10 pounds, and get my 4th degree black belt by the end of next year.

awesome ppl actually responded.. thanks so much guys I will keep tabs on you to see how we are going, and offer as much advice as i can ... Xelleron a great way tpo lose weight is walk for @ least 15 mins in the morning to jump start your metabolism, and drink plenty of water. If your body doesnt get enough it stores it creating more weight. Drink at least 60 onces... about 4/5 bottles of water a day. By doing this you will constantly flush your body of impurities, and ride all that useless weight. No need to store something if you can get it when ever you need it. As for people who are trying to do splits. Ive been doing reserch, and working out of modified lunges seemes to be an agreeable stretch that has some good benefits. NOt only are you getting a stretch, but you are also developing a muscles strength in the process. Good luck and happy new years

Mine is simply to continue going to the gym on a frequest basis (three times a week).

For me, to be able to do front split, improve my crappy cheststand, 1 handed handstand and 20 push up with 40kg. (And to be successful at school :-P)

Ah, Id love to be able to do middle splits.. I have a few exercises but I actually need to do them on a regular basis! Also improving my back flexibility, perhaps learn how to handstand. Basically, I need to actually get the nerve to go down to the local gymnastics place and get a few beginner lessons, see how I like it! I'll manage it eventually..

I would love to be able to do human knot and enjoy staying in the position - and finally get all my splits flat.

For me, this year, 2008, is all about getting middlesplits.
