About Me:
I've always had a degree of natural flexibility. I've been dancing since I was five. I just graduated from Bennington College on June 2, 2007 where one of my concentrations was dance (modern & post-modern). I've been interested in contortion for the past few years, but just recently decided to actually pursue it. I am also very interested in other circus arts and am currently training myself in stilt-walking and juggling (toss & contact). ^_^ I currently work as an entertainment technician at Busch Gardens and... what else is there to tell you? ^_^;;

After the First Classes

Okay, so I've officially completed a week of classes! I'm having so much fun! So far I've done three aerial classes and one contortion class, plus my nightly stretching routine.

For aerial, the beginners start out on the static trapeze first. We've learned how to get up on the trapeze and down from it and a few basic tricks. Classes!

I'm officially registered for my summer classes and I am so excited! I went down to the studio today (which is a little more than an hour's drive from my home) and met with the artistic director. I got to meet a few of the other students and take a look at the studio and equipment. Some of the students were in one of the studios preparing for their spring show, so I got to see them playing around on the trapeze, hoop, and silks.
