Great new Pictures! You certainly have amazing flexibility!!
Is it just me or is the majority of rhythmic gymnasts brunettes? It really looks that way, but then again, a lot of the top gymnasts come from the Balkans and Eastern Europe, where there are a lot of brunettes... I can think of a flew blond rhythmic gymnasts, but not a lot that come to mind...
That sounds painful! Candice Coetzee is a top South African Artistic Gymnast, she won the South African nationals something like 7 times already, and the first time she won she was 13. She dislocated her knee, and has been undergoing physio for ages now, and there is still talk that she might not be the same gymnast she always was. Its pretty intense these types of injuries and quite scary too... You often get a reminder that strength is important, just as important as flexibility...
I am quite curious, how is your frontbending? It seems with oversplits that the hamstrings are really stretched, which helps frontbending a lot, and with gymnastics, i am sure your hips are quire flexible.
You don't often hear of Bessonova missing a competition because of injury, or any of the other top gymnasts, so that made me rather curious as to the reason why. You seldomly hear the big rhythmic gymnasts injured as you hear about artistic gymnasts, and when artistic gymnasts are injured, its career threatening injuries...
well i guess there is nothing wrong with being self-conscious about your weight, but its another thing when you start developing an anxiety disorder or even an eating disorder. There were quite a few movies on hallmark adressing this topic, especially with regards to artistic gymnastics and figure skating. There was a time when a lot of the rhythmic gymnasts didn't look healthy, for example, Anahi Sosa, Irina Tchachina, etc...
What are the most common injuries that rhythmic gymnasts do get? With all that stretching, its hard to imagine that there would be injuries you get in hockey, for example...
How is the issue with weight dealt with in your gym? I once read an interview with Bessonova, how she eats in a different room than the rest of her family. The explanation was that even if you train 6 hours, you don't burn that much calories, as someone who trained 3 hours in soccer. I saw that Natalie Godunko weighs 45 kg. How does this affect your sport?
Thanks! I have been working on them for a year now, and i have improved a lot. They still aren't close enough, but they certainly are improving. I have made peace that its going to take me awhile to achieve, but i am up to the challenge, lol. There certainly are the two different types, and my straddle has improved significantly. Especially when i started leaning forward, kinda like the pancake stretch. That has helped me a lot.
I have asked this a few times and a few people. Whats the secret to those middlesplits? And i know there isn't a secret. It seems that the more i ask around, the more people seem to be struggling with those.

About Me:
I am a competitive Rhythmic gymnast, Ive been doing it since I was 6 years old. I am part of a competitive rhythmic gymnastics club, and I also do competitive Aesthetic gymnastics, I train 15 hours a week or more, and Its completely my life, Without Rhythmic gymnastics in my life, I don't know where I would be. I have been to Austria for the 13th world gymnastrada, and I have also met world famous rhythmic gymnast Alexandra Orlando, I am looking forward to more competitions in the future, which may take place in Texas, and Toronto, and I'm very excited to attend the 14th World gymnastrada In Switzerland in 2 years. I am hoping I will go a lot further in Rhythmic gymnasts, and I have never ending goals, which in my opinion, inspires me to become a better gymnast. I feel like I have a lot more to offer, and I think my journey has just begun.
