Hey Y'all,
Just posting random stuffs here... MERRY CHRISTMAS to all... and if you are willing to offer tips for my contortion training.. ( I am a novice and need as much help as you can give me).. that would be awesome

ok so Christmas came, yah baby Jesus... on the more santa route... I got a sidekick.... so excited. Other than that I hope everyone else had a lovely holiday, and have a safe rest of the week.
new years eve is tommarow, any plans ... my family is going to Universal Studios in Orlando Fl. again.
Thanks to those of you who posted on my discussion. It will be rolling and I will drop messages to see your progress, and I would love for you guys to do the same. I know I am a novice, but I have researched all sorts of stuff. I would love some expert help, and until then I will keep offering what little I can. Once again HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Im in America, and starting to contort... by defenition its anyone who practices contortion.... by my defenition I am trying to become a contortionist... I hope to work for Cirque....



As of right now Im in dance, and theatre. I was recently accepted to Florida State University to study theatre, as well as circus arts. So wish me luck...

yeah sure ill look you up on myspace ! so heres the story: im 13 and i live in columbus ohio kindof drab all we do is just hang around at resturaunts so i have this secret little passion of joining the circus that only a few people know about its not like i care what people think its just no something i scream about i started contortion a while ago and loved it so ive just been an at home contortionist for like 2 years hoping that one day by some miracle i could join the circus and thats when i met kristina isabelle, i watched a stilt dancing performance by her and later asked her about it, she said she performs in the circus and is having a weeklong summer camp so it was like a dream come true!!!! so it was a week long 3 hours a day camp where we learned how to dance on stilts, contort, trapeze, aerial hoop and rope it sounds like tons but we werent in some proffesional training camp just some performers some equipment and egear students but anyways ive now continued to practice stilting and contortion in wish i had some aerial equippment but its kinda expensivvvvvve lol so yeah !!!!!

Stay positive, but don't look solely at Cirque du Soleil--although it is a great circus, there are many other fabulous companies out there (world-wide) with great opportunities. Cirque just has the biggest name. Some circus companies focus more on corporate events, while others like Cirque du Soleil do mainly public shows.

It is likely that FSU has a good circus program, but I can't say I know any of the instructors, so I don't know how good they are. As for Cirque du Soleil, they scout everywhere so that is not a good determinating factor of how good the school is. They never know where they will find genuine talent.

There are new circus schools starting all over the place--it seems I hear of a new one every month. I'm in AZ...there's always ASU!
